The Michigan office of Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, formerly McGraw Wentworth, has launched its 12th annual Southeast Michigan Mid-Market Group Benefits Survey. The free survey will provide company leadership and human resources professionals with trend data to understand the leading benefit strategies implemented by area employers and to guide their 2016 employee health care benefit decisions.
“Employers need timely data to guide their health care strategy decisions in an era of rapidly changing compliance issues and market forces,” said Rebecca McLaughlan, vice president, Marsh & McLennan Agency. “Year-over-year this survey provides valid, actionable data to help Michigan employers with their talent management and business management goals.”
More than 500 southeast Michigan organizations are expected to participate in the 2015 Mid-Market Survey, which is updated annually to reflect the changes in employer-sponsored health care. The resulting analysis will:
- Provide insight into how Michigan organizations have complied with the policies and practices required by ACA.
- Benchmark how employers have adapted workforce strategies and benefits eligibility due to the “play or pay” employer mandate.
- Track the interest in and use of defined contribution plans, private exchanges and benefit administration solutions.
- Highlight the usage of wellness and health management initiatives.
- Recap prescription drug coverage multi-tier strategies.
- Review PPO, HMO and CDHP plan deductibles and co-pays set by southeast Michigan employers.
- Identify actions taken by TrendBendersTM, high-performing organizations that have kept average cost increases below trend over the past two years.
Mid-size employers with 100-10,000 employees in southeast Michigan — including manufacturing, health care, financial, technology, service, and not-for-profit organizations — benefit from the extensive survey analysis. Participants are invited to attend a free, accredited seminar to receive the results and analysis, along with a tailored report benchmarking their organization against industry peers and the entire dataset.
