Detroit Free Press Lists Gastronomy Among Top 10 Best New Metro Detroit Restaurants 150 150 southfieldcc_3ik8d2

Gastronomy, a modern American bistro located in the City Centre’s Baker Tilly building, was recognized by the Detroit Free Press as one of Metro Detroit’s best new restaurants. Food Critic Sylvia Rector writes:

When you can’t stand to see one more comfort-grub menu, head to Gastronomy in Southfield, where executive chef Adam Hightower successfully bridges the chasm between approachable American bistro cuisine and contemporary fine dining. “Parks and Recreation has had a plan, pretty much on the books for 20 years, of doing a circular loop in the front lawn,” City Planner Terry Croad explained to council during the Dec. 3 meeting. “I thought it was a great idea for many reasons. As you know, we’re trying to make the City Centre District more pedestrian-friendly and also put life on the street.”
