The deadline has been extended to Wednesday, Sept. 24, for innovators and entrepreneurs to apply for the nine-week Saturday mentoring program at Lawrence Technological University that helps advance new product ideas and establish new business opportunities.
Michigan I-Corps@LTU, established with funds from the Coleman Foundation and the Kern Family Foundation, is part of a statewide program designed to foster and grow an innovation ecosystem throughout Michigan. It provides insights and information about what it takes to successfully commercialize product ideas and meet customer needs.
The program is free for Lawrence Tech students, faculty and alumni. The cost is $500 for teams without an LTU connection.
To learn more about the program, attend a 30-minute information session in room M345 of LTU’s Buell Management Building at 12:30, 2:30 or 4:30 p.m. on three Wednesdays, Sept. 10, Sept. 17 and Sept. 24.
The structured nine-week session kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 4. Each innovation team will benefit from:
- Weekly coaching and mentoring.
- Customer input.
- Creating a targeted value proposition.
- Developing the right market strategy.
Participants will also be eligible to compete for a $1,000 cash prize for the Best Team.
