The Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Open House and Swearing in Ceremony, Thursday, January 30, 2014 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at our offices at 24300 Southfield Rd., Suite 101. The event celebrates our newly elected board members and renewal of current board members. City of Southfield’s Judge Shelia R. Johnson will preside over the ceremony at the Chamber’s Open House.
“We are looking forward to this event,” said Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce President Doug Davis. “We are excited about the direction our chamber is going and we look forward to serving this community and connecting businesses.” The event provides the ideal opportunity to meet and mingle with the Chamber leadership, explore ways to get involved with the Chamber and network with the local business community in a casual, congenial atmosphere.
Board members include: Doug Davis as President – Westin-Southfield, Karen Washington as Vice President – Dell Inc, Ruth Aaronson as Immediate Past Chair – Signs By Tomorrow, Linda Height as Treasurer – Lawrence Technological University, Rochelle Freeman as Secretary – City of Southfield, Dr. Steven Reif – Oakland Community College, Jacqueline Robinson – Southfield Public Schools, Eddie Williams – Financial Consultant, Leah Rosenbaum – JVS, Robert Prew – Bank of America and Tanya Markos-Vanno as Executive Director – Southfield Area Chamber. INCOMING MEMBERS: David Dallo – Comfort Suites Southfield, Amanda Ducharme – DeVry University, Philippe Burney – Comcast Business and Chrystal Roberts – Health Alliance Plan.
