Lawrence Technological University is the winner of the Live 5 Challenge drawing among the 50 NAIA institutions whose student-athletes completed the Learn to Live 5 online character training before March 1.
During the one-month challenge, more than 3,500 NAIA student-athletes took the course, bringing the total to 15,834 since it launched in September.
Participating institutions could use the $1,000 for a special clinic, mission trip or other community engagement activity.
Lawrence Tech, through the efforts of Champions of Character liaison, Mary Pinkowski, has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club’s The Field Zone Unit in Southfield, MI. The $1,000 awardwill support the BeFit Program, which focuses on healthy life skills programs, and the Keystone Teen Leadership Program.
“We are honored that the Lawrence Technological University student-athletes and administration have chosen to invest in the Field Zone Boys & Girls Club. These champions with character are helping us make a difference in the lives of our members,” said Brett Tillander, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Oakland & Macomb Counties.Take the Live 5 Challenge by March 1!
