Douglas E. Ebert
Douglas E. Ebert, former chief operating officer of the Cranbrook Educational Community, has been named to succeed Lloyd E. Reuss as chair of the Board of Trustees at Lawrence Technological University.
Ebert, a trustee of the private, 4,500-student university since 2006 and chair of the board’s Finance Committee, previously spent 33 years in the financial services industry. He was also chair of LTU’s Presidential Search Committee comprised of trustees, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and representatives of the University’s external constituencies that in 2012 resulted in the selection of Virinder K. Moudgil as Lawrence Tech’s seventh president and CEO. read more

Two Warner Norcross & Judd LLP partners have been named co-chair of firm committees.
Michael G. Brady will serve as co-chair of the firm’s Automotive Industry Group, which provides legal counsel to auto suppliers on contracting, employment matters, antitrust, product liability, recalls, intellectual property, environmental law and other issues. Brady concentrates his practice in complex business litigation and class-action matters with a focus on representing automotive suppliers in contract negotiations, supply chain disputes, internal investigations and antitrust actions.
Homayune A. Ghaussi will serve as co-chair of the Firm’s Inclusion Committee, which works to make the law firm a more diverse and inclusive work environment for attorneys and staff. Ghaussi has developed a litigation-focused practice with extensive experience counseling auto suppliers in warranty, supply chain disputes and related matters as well as representing financial institutions. Michigan teams finished first in three of the six major categories at the 15th annual Robofest World Championships held May 17 at Lawrence Technological University.
Over 70 teams competed in the final round of competition, including teams from nine other states besides Michigan – Ohio, Texas, Minnesota, Florida, Hawaii, California, Missouri, Indiana and Washington – and eight other countries – Canada, Mexico, South Korea, China, India, South Africa, Brazil and France. read more

Dug Song, the founder and CEO of Duo Security based in Ann Arbor, has been named the Leader & Innovator of the Year by Lawrence Technological University and WWJ Newsradio 950.
The award was announced at a May 15 reception at Lawrence Tech. Song was chosen from nearly 50 nominees profiled during the past 12 months in the WWJ Newsradio 950 Technology Report. read more
